As Cory mentioned before, we are currently closed to celebrate the holidays with our loved ones and to just relax and have some “down time.” That being said, I am still in the process of editing a few sessions as the kids nap. I’m not stressing or working quickly, but enjoying the lazy days. We hope and pray that your New Year celebrations are wonderful and that this time has been one of great memories. I know that I am enjoying the snowy weather here in Michigan and am excited to do an engagement shoot in Chicago next week. We have so many ideas for the new year and look forward to sharing the year to come with all of you. May God bless you and take care of you and we hope to hear from you soon! Here is a peek of a very good looking guy. We actually did these while I was taking sister’s senior photos. It has been so much fun to watch him grow and change into a young man. ~Kristin

It’s always amazing to me how quickly time goes by and I get to witness it so clearly through the growth of my little clients. It seems that just yesterday I was photographing this handsome little man making his entrance into the world…and now he is crawling, smiling, laughing, growling and so much more. He is such a sweet happy baby and I know that he brings so much joy to the heart of my dear friend “S.” She prayed for a little boy to go with the gorgeous little girl you see here and her prayers were answered! I love these guys so much and am thankful for the opportunity to capture them as they grow.

The main focus of this shoot was getting some photos for this year of these awesome kids. As you can see, we did sneak mom and dad in for a couple just for their holiday cards. I have to say that I had a blast! The urban setting and being able to direct my subjects is my element…I thrive on it! What made it even more special is that this family are friends of ours. They are our neighbors in fact and lovely “A” is one of my kiddo’s fav babysitters. I was so thrilled that she “funked it up” a bit in her attire for our shoot. It made it so much fun…thanks for trusting me “A.” And what a great guy “T” has turned into. He let me take him into some crazy places for my shots. Thanks again “L” Family for the fun and for being such wonderful friends!

You may remember a few months back the post of one of my closest friends who was pregnant with twins…well here they are! Meet some of the most beautiful babies ever! It took a while for little man to come home from the hospital, but after he did, we jumped on the photos! It was so much fun putting little Miss “L” in the flower headband. Doesn’t she look like an angel? And Mr. “A” was so sweet and good. He loves his sister so much he didn’t mind all the scratching and kicking she was doing while she was protesting us trying to prop her on his back! Anyway, I know that the family has been waiting so patiently to see some of their photos…I hope they are happy with the preview. These sweet little ones will never lack in love. They are surrounded by the best parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and church family to shower them with love. Love you all so much!

There are so many more photos I could post…but I have some people waiting on a newborn twin blog post (you know who you are
This is my sweet “E.” She is a dear family friend and my kiddo’s favorite babysitter. But really, she is one of the most amazing teens I’ve ever known. Her loving, kind spirit never ceases to amaze me. I know she has been waiting on me to finish my holiday editing…so I wanted to give her a little taste of what’s to come with her senior photos. I am working on them now! We love you “E” and will miss you so much next year!

God given is all I can say when I think of this family…that they were brought into my life by God alone. Mom found us on the internet last year and the connection between the two of us is something special. Dad is a chaplin in the military and it is obvious when you meet them that they are lead by our Lord. Being around them is so easy and fun. I adore their children who played out behind their home with me like I was their favorite playmate. I got to meet baby “E” for the first time which was amazing. I just can’t say enough about them. The connection between them…parents, siblings, all…is simply special. I was sent home with a container of homemade cookies and a warm heart seeing God’s love at work. I also came home with dirty jeans, elbows, etc because I laid down in a fresh pile of rotting leaves, lovely I know. It was all worth it though…I loved every minute of it.
